Venue: Ashburton Town Hall

5 HOURS CLASSES

1 GUIDED PRACTICA
1 OPEN PRACTICA

Cost:
£40 for the whole weekend, or £6 evening only (Rough Guide and Milonga/Practica)

The teachers:

Ruth v. Zimmermann

Booking details:
The full weekend workshop needs advance booking. If you come for the evening(s) only, just turn up on the door in time for the Rough Guides.
You can sign up on your own or with a partner. No advance knowledge is required for the beginners classes.
No dress code - dress up or dress down. Bring some smooth soled shoes that swivel on a wooden floor, or a thick pair of socks.
We generally classify as Beginners everybody who has had less than a term tango experience; Improvers are those who have had lessons for at least a term or two. If you are in doubt over your level, we can clarify this at the beginning of the workshop weekend.
To book, please contact z.ruth@members.shines.net

Accommodation:

Please call the Tourist Information Centre on (01803) 863168 for help in finding B&B's in the area.

What is....?

Beginner: From " I don't know anything about Tango at all" to "I want to consolidate the first basic ingredients such as walking in parallel and opposite (cross) system, forward and backward ochos, turns"
Improver: "I'm reasonably confident about the first basics such as walking in parallel and opposite (cross) system, forward and backward ochos, turns."
Guided practica: Loose format session with teaching input, with exercises for dancing.
Open practica: music will be played but no teaching input. The idea is to practise things learnt in recent classes.
Rough Guide (absolute beginners): A lighthearted, fun approach to learning Tango. After one hour of learning, you will have something you can play with for the rest of the evening!
