This is a luscious opportunity for all who want to immerse themselves in Tango, no matter what level you are at. People from near and far will use these days to take part in the classes and develop their dancing through practice.

A Tango Mango provides a learning environment where you dance for hours on end at cut cost price, to explore Tango for yourself in a supportive environment. The dance floor is open 12 hours a day, pausing only for classes between 4.45pm - 7:00 pm.

Please note: This particular Tango Mango is special in insofar as all income will go towards funding the building project of the Steiner School. All teachers, organisers, Djs and staff are donating their time and energy to the fundraising effort. The schedule will also slightly vary from our usual schedule - please check on the timetable

Times:

Friday April 8th: Pre-Mango evening workshop, 8-10pm

From Saturday morning onwards, the Hall will be open every day from 9.30am until 11.30pm.

10.15am - 11.30pm Open dance floor. It is possible to dance all day and evening, with the interruption of meal times and the group classes between 4.45pm-7pm.

10.15am-1.30pm availability for private lessons here book in advance

9:30-10.10 Singing with Kate drop in

11.15-1.30 open dance floor and private lessons upstairs
11:15 - 12.30 Absolute beginners Group class downstairs [More Info] drop in

4.45pm - 7pm all other levels various group classes:

11.30pm Hall Closes

Please note that this Mango finishes at midnight on Saturday April 16th. Those camping or dorming will be able to stay that night still. All buildings will have to be vacated and put back to order by Sunday lunchtime. We will have a communal cleaning up session on Sunday morning!

Cost:

Everybody coming to a Mango has to book in advance!
There are two types of prices you need to consider, one for dancing, the other one for the classes. Any classes you choose to take will have to be paid in addition to the fees for dancing.

DANCE PASSES:
*Full (8 days all day and evening) £70
*part (three consecutive days) £30
*6 sessions (morning/afternoon/evening, does not have to be consecutive) £30
*Drop-in on Milonga £6(no advance booking needed for this option. However, you have to come with a dance partner, so as to maintain the balance between men and women at the event. Also please note: The Tango Mango is a week long event and most people join in for a deeper immersion than just one evening.)

TICKETS FOR CLASSES:
(Group class tickets are to be bought in lots of 5, left over tickets will be refunded at the end)
*Absolute Beginners & Tango Aspects classes: £30 for 5 (refundable)
*Large group classes: £30 for 5 (refundable)
*Small group classes: £45 for 5 (refundable)
*Private lessons: £35
*Singing in the morning: £4 per session

Food:

The creation and the sharing of food is an integral part of the Mango experience. People take turns helping to make the food or to wash-up, prepare or clear the tables etc. (You will find out in more detail once you sign up to the Mango).

Accommodation:

Camping at the school:
We are able to camp at the school, as well as using two class rooms as dormitories. There are no beds you will have to bring your own roly mat etc! Shower facilities have now been installed. If you are interested in either of those options, please let me know.

B&Bs via the school:
A parent of the school, Louise Romoli, has kindly offered to set up an accommodation finding service. This will draw on families connected with the school. In the long run, we hope to offer a range of options via this service, ranging from a space to put your rolymat to proper B&B or even self-catering flats or houses! A portion of the proceeds will go toward supporting the School.

The small print:

Our host, the Rudolf Steiner School has a policy of no alcohol on their grounds. As the organiser of the Mangos, I ask you to respect the following:

* No alcohol anywhere on the school grounds, including the camp site.
* No smoking anywhere in the school grounds except in the designated areas (by the ash tray outside the hall and in the car park)
*Please be discrete with Photography - some people are not happy to be photographed, so do not publicise online any photos that you take, unless you have the consent of the organiser. NO photography during classes or private lessons.
