February 2012 Tango Mango - Programme for Dancers
(To see the Musician's programme, click here)

This time, the Mango is split in three stages:

Orchestral practise February 11&12th:
For the dancer, there will be a Milonga on Sunday 12th, with some live music from the Orquesta Tipica. They will focus on Di Sarli, so expect some new pieces, Di Sarli style!
As a dancer (without an instrument), you can also come and listen to the orchestra rehearsing during the day. This is a unique opportunity to have a very direct musicality class: it is fascinating to experience just what makes a piece sound like Tango in general, and like Di Sarli in particular.

Workshop Days February 13th & 14th
Michael Lavocah will teach a workshop on Monday aftenoon and Ruth will teach on Tuesday afternoon. Start your Mango experience with a concentrated input of lessons, then sail into the four remaining days to dance!
On Tuesday evening, we are running a practica, which will be led by the group of teachers who are there for the Mango.

Dancing Days February 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th
These days are more what you might be used to in a Mango if you have been before. However, there will be more time devoted to dancing and less to teaching. If you are looking for more classes than are offered in these four days, come a couple of days earlier and join the workshops.
